Snowboarding in Valmorel

Valmorel is not yet one of the leading 'boarders destinations although the attractions are very adequate.

The fun park's location is Papouasia, while at the heart of the resort near the Planchamp slope, there's a boarder cross area conveniently served by the "altispace" chair lift . Otherwise the terrain is good for fast cruising and off-piste powder.

Beginners are recommended to head for the Biollène trail. Off the slopes, Valmorel's idea of creating a safe and relaxed family environment may not match every 'boarders idea of the ideal après scene, although there is action to be found in some bars.

Boardercross events and other national and international competitions do roll in to town on a regular basis.
