Snowboarding in Stowe

Stowe Mountain Resort has been a mecca for snowboarding since the sport's inception. In fact, Jake Burton Carpenter lives in Stowe and employees of his company headquarters, Burton Snowboards, ride at Stowe. Stowe's terrain park and superpipe are home to a number of exciting freestyle events, such as the Stowe Slopestyle series. The resort has a dedicated boarding website, www.ridestowe.com, focused on freestyle snowboarding and skiing, and offers a nice overview of the scene there. Stowe's snowboard school has an excellent staff, and the Learn to ride program is an excellent wayt to get going.
