With runs radiating from the resort in all directions and a well established snow-sure connection with neighbouring Risoul, Vars has a total of 180 km of skiable terrain in it's immediate vacinity.

This resort is perfect for skiers of all abilities. Beginner skiers are spoilt for choice as you can learn the basics on the wide learner slopes beside the resort serviced by their own learner tow ropes. After lessons you can retire to your accommodation or one of the numerous bars and cafés for a quick rest. After you've got the basics down you can ascend the slopes on the chairlift and try a descent on one of the long greens that ease their way back down to the resort below. There are also many long routes between Vars and Risoul to cruise down.

Ski Holidays to Vars - Great for Intermediates

Intermediate skiers on holiday in Vars will love the long sweeping reds and blues that are in the Foret Blanche area. You can also make the trip over to Risoul but be sure to try out the 8 km Sainte-Marie run down into Vars. Another one to definitely try is the Pinitaux Superior which has some short steeps and also some tricky moguls. If you do make the trip over to Risoul be sure to make it back before the last lifts!
