With 310 km of perfectly manicured pistes and a skiing area divided into six sections, having a skiing holiday in Davos is a decision that people make year after year. The six ski areas are called Pischa, Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Madrisa, Rinerhorn and Gotschana and most of them are lift linked. The most popular and largest area is the Parsenn area. Parsenn is lift-linked to Klosters, one of the most opulent skiing resorts in the world, a popular favourite of the Royal Family. On the opposite side of the resort lies the 'fun' mountain of Jakobshorn that is very popular with boarders. There are also some great nursery slopes at the base of Bolgen, complete with snow-making cover for later in the season.

Cheap Ski Holidays In Davos - Great Choice of Runs

Most of the skiing in Davos is above 1,800 metres (altitude of the treeline) and are accessed by either cable car or funiculars. The majority of the skiing is at intermediate level with runs graded red and blue, however there are also plenty of opportunities for expert skiers. There are several very challenging off-piste routes such as an incredible 12 km run down into Kublis or mirroring the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes' creator Arthur Conan Doyle and skiing off-piste to Arosa. In terms of pisted black runs, they tend to be short steep runs nearer the bottom of the mountains through the treeline as the inclines are greater there.
