On mountain facilities are in their early stages but the Glacier Lodge (which opened for the 2004-5 season) features an indoor health club with fitness facilities; an outdoor hot pool. Vagabond Lodge, which also opened in 2004 has a library, multimedia and games room. Snowshoeing equipment can be rented from the rental shop. Snowmobile tours run from the base area. The terrain is varied to suit all levels and the ride is guaranteed to be as exciting as the surroundings are stunning. Ice climbers of all ability levels will find more than 60 ice routes available within an hour's drive of Golden. Advanced climbers can head south to Raven's Call (Grade VI), or east on Highway #1 to Pilsner's Pillar, or Super Boch (Grade VI and V respectively). Intermediate or novice climbers can reach River View and Pretty Nuts (Grade III and IV) with just a 15 minute drive.
