Facilities in Filzmoos

The Sports and Leisure centre is open daily except Mondays. Guided snowshoe hikes are organised several times a week. Also out on the snow there's a choice of two toboggan runs. The "Kleinberg" flood-lit toboggan run is approximately three kilometres (two miles) long with rental toboggans available. One of the villages unique attractions is the Hof Museum in the barn of the Oberhof Farm which has been lovingly created by Christian Salchegger Senior, an Oberhof farmer in the barn of the Oberhof Farm. Tours of the museum are staged every Tuesday from 4 to 6pm at no charge. Paragliding is possible from Filzmoos although not in the village itself. Paragliding sampler courses are offered by the "Aufwind" Flight School's at its practice grounds in the Ramsau, about 15km (nine miles) from Filzmoos. You will be picked up in Filzmoos by the "Aufwind" Flight School and the course lasts all day. Tandem flights and hang gliding courses are also available. Horseback riding and carriage or sleigh rides are also offered. The riding school offers excursions to the Hofalm and Hachau as well as children's riding, riding classes on Haflinger horses or ponies. Daytime or evening horse-drawn coach rides to the Hofalm are also available. Excursions to Salzburg are popular.
