There is a choice of thirty restaurants covering all market sectors in Sestrière. The cuisine is almost exclusively Italian and ranges from friendly Pinky Pizzeria to the higher calibre Al Braciere or Colombiere.

The Valsusa region has a distinct local cuisine, in keeping with the countryside, of which the key ingredient is meat - veal, goat or chamois. Traditional meals begin with honeycomb and the local cheese - toma - which changes its taste as it matures. The ingredients of traditional dishes such as 'cajetts' or 'sarignà' are passed down by word of mouth.

Other local gourmet favourites include dishes made from the local mushrooms or Val Sangone. The local wine is Chiomonte, made from grapes grown at 1000 metres.
