Eating out in Fernie

The Bear's Den is located mid-mountain while all the other restaurants are at the base area. Kelsey's Restaurant is popular for its reasonable prices and generous portions which include ribs, wings and shrimp. Located within the Cornerstone Lodge it has a fun atmosphere for casual dining. Also within the Cornerstone Lodge is The Mean Bean Coffee Deli serving a wide choice of coffees and gourmet lunches. The Lizard Creek Lodge's fully licensed restaurant offers creative menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a spectacular alpine setting. Specialities include pan fried white fish with spicy chorizo sausage and roasted provencale vegetables in a sweet basquaise sauce or Filet of Alberto Beef "Rossini" accompanied by foiegras madeira sauce and baby vegetables. The Wood on the Hill, located within the Griz Inn, offers a wide selection of gourmet cuisine. You can also choose from over 20 restaurants and numerous bars in downtown Fernie, five minutes from the ski resort.
