Eating out in Ellmau

There are nearly three dozen restaurants in and around Ellmau, the majority traditional Tyrolean establishments, generally within hotels, although there are a couple of Italian options. Most of the hotel restaurants offer traditional Tyrolean as well as international cuisine; fondue parties are organised. Among the many establishments that are highly commended by user surveys are the top rated Hotel Hochfilzer and the Alte Post, which is one of several serving a weekly farmers buffet. For gourmet dining the restaurants at the five star Der Bär and Kaiserhof hotels offer the best choice.
