Eating out in Courmayeur

The fifty or so eateries and restaurants serve predominantly Italian fayre, naturally enough. And why not when it's as good as the fresh home made pasta at Gabriella's. Pierre Alexis, a restaurant established in 1877, offers further pasta specialities and traditional Italian dishes. La Padella is another choice, serving 20 different types of spaghetti. For pizza lovers the Pizzeria du Tunnel has a reputation for high quality, low cost, big pizza.

For non-Italian food the Du Parc restaurant offers Alpine treats such as raclettes and fondues as well as Chinese dishes. Staff speak English, Japanese and Swedish.
